Antioch Police Confirm Two Shot Friday at Sycamore Square

The Antioch Police Department is investigating a shooting that left two people wounded Friday night in the City of Antioch.

According to preliminary information, the shooting occurred in the Sycamore Square Shopping Center on Sycamore Drive and L Street at approximately 8:15 pm. The shooting left two wounded with non-life threatening injuries as well as several businesses struck.

The victims self-transported to a local hospital.

No other information has been released.

This is the 4th shooting in the City of Antioch since Nov. 10 when two were wounded by gunfire on Lone Tree Way at a gas station on Nov. 10. A few days later on Nov. 13, one person was shot dead on Travesio Way. The next day, on Nov. 14, three were shot during a candlelight vigil at Hillcrest Park.

No updates on any of the shootings have been released as of Saturday.
