On Thursday, the Antioch Police Department detained five people after a fight resulted in multiple shots fired in the area of W 7th Street and G Street in the City of Antioch.
The incident occurred just after 1:00 pm when an argument led to a shots fired call. The vehicle fled the scene striking a parked car before continuing on. No gunshot victim was located.
Although five people were detained, no arrests were made. This was the sixth known shooting since February 25, 2021.

Violence every day yet mayor jj walker remains silent. Guess he cant face the truth that hes an incompetent disgrace and his kind are destroying Antioch.
Once again the heros are there to protect us. We have an amazing PD which needs our support. Please make your voices heard to the city manager and Mayor Thorpe that we need more officers, less reform, and Walker Torres out of office.

Not anymore. Thanks to the vulgar fowl mouthed pos, this “Will” be the norm for this kind of behavior. You must be solely proud. You have taken a combination of blue collar workers and newly retired civilians and turned them into “Freightened and Scared” residents. These are the same residents that keep up their property and surroundings to let “YOU” and your fowl mouthed “Arsonist” room for crime. We the people voted for a increase of sales tax to burden the cost for emergency services for you to demolish that with your “Defund” project. With that said, cower down, admit your mistake in judgement and quietly go away. Let the “Real” residents of this town regroup and move forward to a better “Antioch”!

Another day, another shooting in broad daylight. This place is becoming a war zone, and our officials are doing nothing but trying to restrict the police even more.
We can blame Mayor Thorpe and that other piece of garbage on the council for the bs they insinuate about the police, and having the nerve to want to defund them?
