by ECT

The Antioch Police Department announced that a shots fired call has led to the arrest of a suspect that occurred in the 1500 block of Sycamore Drive in the City of Antioch.

According to police, they responded to an overnight shooting where shots were fired at two separate apartment buildings. Officers arrived and found an armed subject and quickly took him into custody.

Police say the male suspect complied, however, a female acquaintance tried to interfere with the arrest and she was also arrested.

According to police, this all stemmed from a neighbor dispute in which one armed subject confronted a neighbor, who also was armed. In In response, the person police officers initially arrested fired several shots at the neighbor and his apartment. Unfortunately, his actions resulted in an uninvolved apartment building being struck, but no one involved in this incident was struck by any gunfire.

Police recovered a firearm on the suspect and while searching his apartment, located  more firearms to include a handgun, rifle parts and additional ammunition. The apartment that was shot at also revealed that the subject shot at was in possession of an AR-15 pistol with a high capacity magazine.

Both subjects were booked into the county jail on numerous felony charges and several dangerous firearms were seized as evidence.

No other information was released.

Time to get back out to the shooting range if you’re trying to shoot up one building and you’re hitting an entirely different building?
