At 10:50 am Wednesday, the Antioch Police Department responded to Garrow Drive at Siders Ct on a report of multiple gunshots heard.
Upon arrival, they located a male who had been struck by gunfire twice in the yard of a home.
Contra Costa County Fire and AMR were dispatched to the call to provide patient care and a medical helicopter was requested. Although the medical helicopter landed at a park on Mountaire Drive, the male was ultimately ground transported to a local hospital.
The mans condition was unknown as of 12:00 pm.
Police confirmed a suspect is in custody and a firearm was recovered at the scene, however, no other details were released as detectives were en-route to the incident.
This is the second shooting in less than 24-hours as a male was shot in the leg Tuesday evening on Mimosa Ct around 6:00 pm.

On Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at 10:49 am, Antioch police officers were called to a residence in the 3300 block of Garrow Drive for a male subject who had been shot.
Responding officers detained a 50-year-old male at the scene who was armed with a gun. Officers also located a 52-year-old male lying outside the residence, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
The victim was immediately transported to an area hospital where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
Preliminary information revealed the shooting took place during a landlord tenant dispute.
Detectives are currently interviewing a 50-year-old male of Brentwood who is considered a person of interest at this time.

Antioch residents better prepare for more and more of this on a daily basis. The ghetto of Antioch use to be Sycamore now almost the entire City is infested.

I believe the same thing. Antioch is a ghetto city. See it as it is. Not a racist statement at all. Just the truth. I grew up there, still have friends and family there, I will not live there any longer. Not putting my kids through that crap.
You’re right! That’s why I moved out of Antioch as soon as this new bunch was “elected” to continue ruining the city. Before that, every time someone asked me where I live and I told them I live in Antioch, they would roll their eyes and say, “I’m sorry for you.”
