Double Standards!!! Feb 24, 2021 - 7:35 pm

Well if the 3 stooges on the council, Lamar, Monica, and Ghetto rat Tamisha, get their agenda through to defund, destroy, and control the Antioch Police Department, Antioch is going to go to hell!! If anyone is paid attention, Part 1 crimes are steadily declining, the department just got back to staffing, still well below from the 126 in 2001. Like size agencies have double the staffing and do half the work. I say let them ge their jobs done and clean up the POS’s out there. I was raised to get respect, you have to give respect. Moved from Antioch due to the element there that gives no respect to anyone and expects to be giving respect unconditionally. Check out Cavallo, Sycamore, W 10th Street and see how much respect these ghetto rats dealing drugs and shooting dice give you. Look at them wrong and they shoot up your car. You think Antioch is bad now, just wait for the 3 Stooges to get that agenda in place!! Remember, they were voted in!! Where’s the transparency on the council? Tamisha can rant rave and threaten Officers after her hood rat kids run front he police after breaking the law but face zero consequences. If an APD Officer did any of that, he be fired…let’s talk double standard. Mayor wants to point a finger and hold others accountable, but won’t hold his own accountable? Bullshit!!!

WTF??? What? Don’t YOU ever just chill with your buds in an apartment complex parking lot, chatting and chillin’? Then you know, trash talk starts and BANG! I mean…what’s not to understand?

I suppose the esteemed Mr. Thorpe will find a way to blame this on the police.

Police Officers have an extremely difficult job to do on a daily basis. Most law breakers are not cooperative people. It is more prudent to act or react on the side of caution. Caution however does not require any manner of disrespect. I am a black female and I would not even phatom placing my life on the line daily to maintain law and order. Respect is a two way street no matter the skin color or financial status. Officers should tespect all citizens and all cotizens should respect all officers irregardless of political position. We are all PEOPLE FIRST with the right and desire to be treated as valuable human beings.

We’re a retired military family. Beautiful Antioch was ruined because of section 8 and young gangs of all nationalities. Then they controlled the schools. I’m literally concerned to go near sycamore st. I was operations manager at a big local retail store, and those idiots would grab and run with the entire new line. They would gang our security guards. I don’t understand the new plans, however, I was forced to move from Antioch.

911: 911Whats your emergency
Me: I’d like to report an home invasion
911: Would you like us to send social services
Me: No the sanitations department
911: The sanitation department?
Me: yes, I need to know if they would like me to drag this POC
out to the curb now, or wait till regular pick up day
What is going to happen when you defund the police…lol

It’s funny how people love to call out the AA members on the City council in an attempt to make them responsible for all that’s wrong with Antioch. Antioch’s problems have been grown and worsened over time. As a 30 year resident, I’ve seen the decline first hand and it didn’t start when the current mayor and AA council members were elected. You make your racist views pretty obvious when you consistently jump on this forum and only mention the perceived shortcomings of the council members of color. Were you as disgusted and vocal when the mayor and council was all white? I doubt it. Yet Antioch has been sliding down hill for a while. Want to see change? Improvement? Get involved. Stop being a racist keyboard warrior and start with the person looking back at you in the mirror.

When people in the bay area ask me where I live and I tell them “I live in Antioch” … they roll their eyes and ask why has a total idiot been elected mayor and a felon elected to the city council. They say they hope she doesn’t burn down city hall.
