And silence from Lamar and Tamiesha. Great job on your whole Anti-Police stance, you two.

I am sorry for the family and friends of the 12 year old.

Another great illustration of why you need good, clear video coverage. Someone fleeing the scene right past your house in what may have seemed like a fairly decent neighborhood is not a fantasy, that’s a reality. After the fact, at least there’s some idea of the suspect’s general description and direction of travel.

This is beyond tragic! Unspeakable! What in hell is going on in this city? Yes! We sure need to have our law enforcement agencies hands tied by this RIDICULOUS “defunding” of the police. Only total imbeciles would call for that! Let’s see where that takes you, you City Council Idiots!

Where is the outrage about this?

Why are the anti- coppers not as pissed about this as they are about other issues?

Why is the Mayor and City Council quiet about all the death already this year?

This is totally mind-boggling! My brain is reeling! Who would kill a 12 year old? How many killings have we had here since the first of the year? And to think these city council shitholes want to reduce the funds going to police protection? They should ALL be arrested by Chief Brooks himself and should be shown on all the news stations ! The PD should be independent from the dictates of the shitholes!

I agree, Antioch Police should not have to answer to a City Council. That is definitely one change that could be made in how things are done and improve the quality of life. We should also be able to get rid of Council members that don’t do their job or ran with unclean hands. But, it is also obvious all of City Hall needs a cleaning because of zero transparency in how THEY are running our town, or nor!. City Council is responsible for the homeless mess, zero business coming to town except pot dispensaries, etc. They also need cameras on 4 and everywhere so these arsonists and people shooting on 4 and all over Pittsburg as well can be caught. Cameras are a cheap solution and do a lot to prevent crime. What has the City Council actually accomplished since the last election? Homeless situation still looks the same. More violence than ever. Hopeless bunch.

Lamar Thorpe was on the news and he brought up the federal government.

A child gets shot inside a home. Thats not the fed government.

Antioch really needs to take a step back and look at what’s going on and decide is there we wanna go.

Is the mayor tieing the hands of police or are they just choosing to patrol Sycamore and Cavallo all day.

I don’t live there anymore but to see this schmuck run the city and the fact that he didn’t take part with the Antioch Oakland gang bust shows where he stands.

And you people are surprised madness is everywhere. I’m not.

I switch channels if I see Lamar on TV because he makes me run for the barf pan! The guy is a total loser! What did we do to deserve such a total creep?

I know exactly how you feel. I do the same thing!

Lamars comments on tv over this matter is just him talking out the side of his neck!! HE, along with others on the city counsel, are the same people wanting to stop the Antioch PD from receiving military-like tools, in which, could help make their jobs a little easier, thus in turn, would make this city a lot better. And to top it off, the city of Antioch pays ZERO (meaning- zip, zilch, nada) DOLLARS for any of it! That is (& I quote) “Military-like” equipment that is ALL DONATED. FREE of CHARGE!! So tell me , What kind of city counsel does it take, to be AGAINST getting that type of opportunity ?!? It’s mind blowing & totally unacceptable! Period!
