Home East County Knightsen: Responding for Home Invasion, Sheriff Office Uncovers Marijuana Processing

Knightsen: Responding for Home Invasion, Sheriff Office Uncovers Marijuana Processing

by ECT

Knigthsen

This morning we received several reports of Contra Costa Sheriff activity in Knightsen along Delta Road along a long dirt road across from the Community Church. In response to our inquire, this is what Jimmy Lee, Director of Public Affairs for the Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff said about this mornings incident.

Early this morning at about 12:13 AM, Office of the Sheriff dispatch received a report of a home invasion robbery at a location on the 1400 block of Delta Road in Knightsen. Deputy Sheriffs arrived at the location which appeared to be used for marijuana processing. Several armed suspects were involved in the incident. They fled prior to Deputies’ arrival. The suspects were not located despite an extensive search by police. This incident is still being actively investigated.

No further details were released about the incident, however, one resident shared that a trailer carrying a giant tower was towed away last night and several agencies were involved.  They also reported seeing subjects in the fields during daylight hours with guns prior to police arrival.

Should speak to more residents. They had what looked to be a fortress around that area and cars going up and down that road at all hours. even had lights in the middle of the night. The sheriff is giving as little as possible but we have a right to know what was really going on.

Mr. Burkholder,

I received two calls from residents in Knightsen regarding some type of negative comment with my name on it on your website that degrades the Sheriff. You are demanded to remove it immediately.
I have made no comment to such.

Mr. Gonzales,

Thank you for bringing this to my attention, unfortunately, your name is very common and I am sure there are many, if not hundreds, of John Gonzales in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Based off your email, it appears you have not even read the comment and there is nothing really negative about it. In speaking with Mr. Lee, the investigation is still active.

Furthermore, I highly doubt the Sheriff’s Office needs to be CC’d on your request. I feel they have better things on their plate to accomplish at this time than listen to a complaint over a name being used on a news website.

Several armed suspects fled? To where? It is a giant open field in that area.

I am with John-speak to the residents. Most of us have a pretty good idea what is going on around us. Personally I sent 2 emails to the sheriff dept and spoke with a couple of deputies regarding the noise, barking dogs and large number of roosters crowing behind me. Was I surprised when the Vector Control super was telling me about responding on a mosquito issue and found fighting dogs/roosters. NOPE. Still hear barking dogs and rooster coming from that area so I guess it hasn’t be taken care of yet.

There have been plants growing for months. The sherriff were out a while back when the black screening was put up and made them tear down the screening but not remove the plants. I ride by quite often on my trail rides and have never seen guns once. The activity is nothing new. I guess they just finally decided to do something after all the plants were harvested? Something should have been done a long time ago.

I’m confused. Are you saying that you noticed suspicious activity, and did nothing about it?

Or am I interpreting your comment incorrectly?

Laurie Nov 1, 2013 - 2:57 pm

Oh the suspicious activity has been reported to the Sheriff’s office long ago by many neighbors around there. The neighbors all talk to each other and know who’s made reports. The activity was observed and reported.

Mr. Gonzales,

Not sure what you are hoping to achieve. I have no problem that you shared this and stand by my comment that “John Gonzales” is a very common name.

For complete transparency, you used the email [email protected] and for whatever reason felt compelled to CC two sheriffs as if someone was breaking the law.

It just occured to me why our law enforcement is backup on calls and busy work. People like Mr. Gonzales waste their time on useless nonsense. What a joke. Go worry about the guys with guns in a field, not about someone with the same name on a website.

Sensative much??????? Good lord!

Mr. Burkholders response is classic and to the point. He is right, it’s a waste of the sheriffs time.

I believe anyone who reads these comments should contact Mr. Gonzales and request he stop emailing the County Sheriff’s office which is a big waste of public funds.

Sounds like we need to put together an old fashion posse and remove this nuisance from our town.
