East Contra Costa Fire Makes Quick Work of Barn Fire in Brentwood

At 10:15 am Wednesday, East Contra Costa Fire Protection District firefighters were dispatched to a report of a structure fire in the 3300 block of Concord Avenue off Walnut in the City of Brentwood.

A giant cloud of smoke was observed from as far as Oakley while units were responding and upon arrival, units located a barn fully involved with smoke and flames showing out all sides of the barn.

Firefighters mobilized and had the fire out in about 15-minutes with no damage to nearby homes or structures. The barn was a complete loss along with the contents inside.

The cause of the fire was undetermined according to Battalion Chief Craig Auzenne.
