CHP: Man Damages Fence in Crash, Fixes Fence on Scene

by ECT

Here is a story via CHP-Contra Costa County that we wanted to pass along where a male crashed his vehicle into a fence.

Earlier on Marsh Creek Road… This young man ran off the road and his truck became wedged next to a fence. He stayed on scene until CHP – Contra Costa arrived.

He was concerned livestock might get off the property, because of the damaged old fence. Once we arrived, he used his own tools, dug fresh holes, and repaired the fence better than it was before the minor traffic collision. All too often property owners have their fences destroyed by those who would rather flee a traffic collision than do the right thing and take responsibility for the resulting damages.

This young man not only took responsibility and fixed the fence, but he made it better than it was before the collision. We respect his thoughtfulness and responsible attitude.
