East Contra Costa County  celebrated the New Year last night as police and emergency personnel were busy going from call to call for a variety of calls for service.

The two major incidents included one person who died of a gunshot wound to the head on L Street in Antioch and a police search on Shirley Way in Brentwood for a man with a gun.  Our readers reported hearing fireworks (which are illegal by the way) as late as 2:30 am.

Below is an unofficial call log (43 calls for service) from last night which we created by listening to the scanner. Was the disturbance on C street caused by the homeless woman around Railroad? She was screaming at the Bedford Center for weeks before we got her moved on. She’s in the church lot now.
