antioch city council/ city clerk also have a “cafeteria” ( phone, mileage) plan, which covers health insurance, life insurance etc. all in all, our elected officials actually triple their “income” . city council budget is $ 155,000
the issue of long absentees/ pay is nothing new. our city clerk took also over 2 month long “vacation” during his council member times. the question needs to be ask, did he get paid during those times, if yes, why, and/ or did he pay back the money.?

there must be other ways to get somebody out of a elected position then a recall?

You can drive them out by starting a recall, spreading rumors, misleading people and creating lots and lots of false accusations. In the end you can even “fudge the numbers”. It’s so great not to have even a smidge of accountability.

Just make up stuff Karl, it worked for me!

Mr Dietzel, I suggest you read up on how all of this works. You don’t like how it works find a way to change it.

The man is paying all the money back. i have seen worse mistakes made in all of East County.
Check out the stuff Mr. Montgomery got caught up in.

Karl,
The way the politicos do it is find some dirt on him or skeletons in his closet. The put him down, disgrace him, lie, and talk behind his back.It works all the time in Discovery Bay. A recall is too drawn out and normal. The back door way in politics garners better results.

Regarding peoples abuse of codes in Antioch. Thank God we are looking at his as feral cats are on the increase and destroying properties. Also hordings of other pets causing oder and noise is a serious problem.
