The East Contra Costa Fire Protection District responded to a vehicle crash Saturday evening at 5:41 pm that shut down both directions of traffic in the area of Vasco Road and Camino Diablo as crews worked a multiple injury accident.
Upon arrival, Engine 54 and 59 found a two vehicle accident with six-people who were injured. The patients were transported by ground ambulance to local hospitals. According to radio traffic, a helicopter transport was cancelled and all injuries were considered non-life threatening and minor.
Crews were on scene for roughly an hour.
No further information was provided and the California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.

I don’t understand this! This intersection has a stop light with arrows and everything!!! How much clearer can it be!
This didnt happen at a light. My gf was rite behind the car that crossed over into oncoming traffic. Literally directially behind. She helped pull the woman and her 2yr old from the car. Very scary.
