Washington, D.C. – Congressman Jerry McNerney (CA-09) today announced that he is accepting applications for internship positions available in his California and Washington, DC offices. These internships are designed to engage students who are interested in civics and government and want hands-on experience in a congressional office.
“I encourage students who are interested in public service and learning about a congressional office to apply for an internship in one of my offices,” Rep. McNerney said. “It is an excellent way to gain professional experience and to serve our community.”
College and post-graduate students are eligible to apply for internships in Congressman McNerney’s offices and applications from high school students are considered on a case-by-case basis. All internship positions are unpaid and serve to provide professional and educational value to participants. The Congressman’s office will work with educational institutions that award academic credit for internships.
To apply for an internship in either the Stockton or Antioch office, mail or fax a cover letter and resume to the office where you are seeking an internship position.
