The Oakley Police Department reported they are investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Thursday in the 5500 block of Main Street.

Police say around 8:00 pm they were advised that two Hispanic males had entered the store, both wearing grey sweatshirts and sweatpants. One of the suspects produced a semi-automatic handgun and demanded the cash from the cash register. The second subject removed the cash from the cash register and a customer of the business was also robbed.

The two suspects fled the business to an awaiting Tan Honda Odyssey van and fled south-bound on Main Street toward Brentwood.

No one inside the store was injured during the incident. Officers responded to the area and were unable to locate the vehicle of the suspects. OPD Investigators are asking anyone who may have any information regarding this incident to contact their tip line at [email protected].

Police say this is the first armed robbery within the community this year.
