The Oakley Police Department reports that a little after 1pm this afternoon, they were advised of a robbery that occurred near one of our downtown businesses.
A customer outside a restaurant was leaving when a subject pulled his gold necklace from his neck and ran. The person whose necklace was stolen gave chase to the crook, while another friend called 911.
After being chased a short distance, the crook jumped into an awaiting car and fled the scene.
Because the 911 caller was able to provide a description of the car (including two digits from the license plate) an alert Antioch PD Officer spotted the getaway car traveling in their City. A short time later both suspects were identified as having been involved and arrested.
Traonte White, 22yrs, Pittsburg and Alexandra Iniguez, 26yrs, Pittsburg were both booked at the jail on Robbery Charges.
