The Concord Police Department reports that they responded to a report of a fight involving a knife Tuesday that began from a road rage incident.
Police say the suspect, an 18-year-old Martinez resident, was driving and got upset when the victim, a 70 year-old Walnut Creek resident, nearly collided with him.
The suspect apparently threw an energy drink can at the victim through an open window. The victim followed the suspect to try and obtain a license plate when suddenly the suspect stopped his car in the middle of the road.
Police said a fight ensued and the 18-year-old pulled a knife on the victim, but did not anticipate the victim disarming him of it and physically detaining him him until Concord Police arrived on scene.
The suspect was placed under arrest for the assault and elder abuse. Police said the victim only sustained minor injuries from the fight and was not significantly injured.

Good for the 70-year-old man! I’m half his age, but the situation would have ended quite differently for the brat if he pulled a knife on me for ANY reason!
