Why wasn’t O’Hara Middle School under lock-down? This happened a block away from the school / field area. This should have been normal protical. The 8th grade students were on the way back from a field trip at a water park. And, all students were to be released at 3:05.

I think the Contra Costa County Sheriffs department is a great organization and thank them for all they have done over the years. That said; someone dropped the ball today.

Please, if the kids weren’t there, what harm did it do to bring a man with serious injuries to a field where he can be airlifted to a hospital? I’m sure the heli totally ruined your daytime soap opera viewing, but get over yourself.
