Oakley: Gunfire Erupts on Truman Lane Saturday Night

On Saturday night, gunshots were fired on Truman Lane in Oakley near Crockett Park after some sort of altercation.

By 11:30 pm, Oakley Police were in the neighborhood and one resident says as many as 14-casings were located outside her home while several bullets hit her home.

According to Oakley Police, they stated Monday two homes were hit along with a vehicle. They stated that they know there was a large party in the area and the shooting was under investigation. There were no reported injuries.

No further information was provided.

Oakley police will never do anything about it. Lived on that street 10 years ago, reported all the drug activity to the police. They protected the drug dealer and we had to move for our own safety. Cops told the dealer who turned them in!

It was my house who was hit. Ive been teaching at Freedom for 10 years. My response to this all is forming a neighborhood watch and getting everyone on the same page. If you live by Crockett park keep a look ot for the flyers I’m passing out. Be safe and keep your neighbors safe.
