Friday: Firefighters Set to Raise Funds for Muscular Dystrophy Association

At 9:00 am Friday, East Contra Costa Fire Protection District firefighters will help raise funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) at the corner of Lone Tree Way and Empire in Brentwood.

The Fill-The-Boot Campaign is where off-duty firefighters approach cars at stop lights and people have the option to donate funds into a fireman’s boot–$100, $20, $10, $1 or even change. On June 13, firefighters will return to Balfour and Fairview in Brentwood for a second time to raise more funds.

Last year, the two-day event in East County raised $19,391.14.
