City of Oakley Announces 4th of July Home Decorating Contest

The City of Oakley announced it will be expanding its Holiday Home Decorating Contest to now include the 4th of July. The move comes as the city aims to celebrate the Fourth of July while following state regulations with COVID-19.

The Recreation Division is expanding the Holiday Home Decorating Contest to include the Fourth of July holiday. Residents are encouraged to get out your American flags, bunting, and  lights and decorate your homes. Snap a photo of your home and upload it to the City website by Wednesday, June 24th.

A map of all entries will be posted from June 25th through June 30th and the public will be allowed to  vote for winners, which will be announced on Wednesday, July 1st
