Bridge Work Expected to Create Delays on Marsh Creek Road

by ECT

Contra Costa County public Works

Commuters who travel Marsh Creek Road between Brentwood and Clayton will expect to see delays over the next 10 weeks due to bridge work.

According to a Press Release from Supervisor Mary Piepho’s office, work on the Marsh Creek Road Bridge is set to begin August 4 with expected traffic delays and single lane closures during the week after 9:00 am when work is in progress.

The construction will be 3 miles east of Morgan Territory Road at Gill Drive.

The work to be done generally consists of constructing a new soldier pile wing hall with precast concrete lagging on the southeast (downstream) side of existing Marsh Creek Road Bridge box culvert and reinforcing the existing northwest wing hall with soil nails, and installing temporary creek division and rock slope erosion control materials.

For information about the construction status, please contact the Resident Engineer, Homira Shafaq at (925) 313-2304. For questions related to the project, please call Adelina Huerta (925) 313-2305.
