Detectives from the Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff are continuing to investigate a homicide that occurred last night in Bay Point.
On Sunday at about 11 PM, Deputy Sheriff were initially dispatched to a report of an “unknown problem” on the first block of Mountain View Avenue in Bay Point. Minutes later, Sheriff’s Office dispatch was notified that there was a shooting at the location.
Deputies arrived finding two shooting victims. A 25-year-old woman and a man who is not being identified at this time. The woman was taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek; the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Detectives are continuing to conduct interviews in an effort to establish a motive and identify a suspect.
