On Wednesday, just after 6:00 pm, Oakley Police officers located a stolen vehicle in the Raley’s Shopping Center off Main Street in the City of Oakley.
When officers got behind the vehicle, the vehicle fled through the parking lot. It proceeded to go through the parking lot, hop a curb and head through pushes and down a grassy area before entering main street. From there, the vehicle hopped the median and proceeded into oncoming traffic before coming to a stop after a minor crash and two flat tires.
According to police, the suspect was wanted on a no bail warrant, known to law enforcement, and was in a stolen vehicle. A female was a passenger in the vehicle, she sustained a minor injury and police released her on scene.
Medical attention was requested by police and both AMR and East Contra Costa Fire Protection District responded to the incident.
No other information was released.
