Two Car Accident on O’Hara Slows Traffic During Rush Hour

by ECT

At 5:52 pm, the Oakley Police Department and the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District responded to a two-car accident at the intersection of O’Hara Rd. and Carpenter in Oakley which didn’t help the commute home for drivers in all directions.  There was one minor injury in the crash where the female victim complained of a sore neck.  Traffic was stopped while a tow truck was on scene to clear the wreck.

According to a firefighter at the scene, this appears to be a case where a driver did not see the other vehicle entering the intersection—possibility due to poor visibility caused by the sun.

Here are a couple of shots from the incident.
