Senior Scam Stopper Event Set for Bethel Island on Friday

Bethel Island, CAAssemblymember Jim Frazier (D-Oakley) invites the community to attend a free Senior Scam StopperSM Workshop from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Friday, May 9th at Scout Hall in Bethel Island.

This event is co-hosted by the Contractors State License Board and the Department of Consumer Affairs.

A panel of experts will provide information to seniors about how to avoid becoming victims of various types of fraud including financial, telephone, health, home repair, identity theft and more. Experts will also make themselves available to answer questions and offer assistance to seniors who may have been scammed.

Seniors, their families and caregivers are all welcome and encouraged to attend this free seminar.
