At 8:43 pm Sunday, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District responded to a report of a vehicle crash at Bethel Island Road near Dutch Slough Road in the City of Oakley just prior to the bridge to Bethel Island.
Upon arrival, Engine 53 located a head-on vehicle crash with one person trapped with one person sustaining major injuries and another with minor injuries. A medical helicopter was requested along with a second AMR unit to the scene.

There’s another wreck on the island—expanded collision at Gateway and Piper Rd: any info on that one? Happened just after 9 PM.
