Oakley Police Tase Suspect Resisting Arrest, Wanted on Multiple Warrants

On June 9 at approximately 11:40 pm, Oakley Police Officers took a man into custody who was wanted on multiple warrants and resisting arrest.

Police say that an Oakley police officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Main Street at Cypress Avenue where the suspect vehicle immediately accelerated through the Arco AM/PM parking lot and struck an occupied civilian vehicle. The suspect fled on foot and was taken into custody.

Police further highlighted that the  suspect fought with officers and was tasered by assisting Sheriff’s Deputies.

The suspect was charged with multiple felony drug charges, including Parole Violation & Resisting Arrest. The suspect has a lengthy criminal history and the vehicle he was driving was stolen from an Antioch repair shop. No officers or civilians were injured in this incident; however, both the suspect vehicle and civilian vehicle sustained heavy damage.

There were a number of people in and around the scene that may be able to provide helpful information to assist with the prosecution of this suspect.
