Oakley: One Wounded in Gunfight Thursday Night

At 8:15 pm Thursday, the Oakley Police responded to a report of a victim who sustained a gunshot wound in the area of Stratford Rd in the City of Oakley.

Police arrived on scene to locate a gunshot victim awake and breathing. Medical was requested to come to the scene as well as medical helicopter requested, however was later cancelled.

According to preliminary information, this appears to be related to a gunfight between two vehicles which left one person wounded.  The shooter was described as a Hispanic male wearing a red jacket and a white shirt with an estimated age 20-30 years old.

Update:
According to Oakley Police, two vehicles traveling on Empire near Laurel, where the shots were fired. The driver who was hit traveled another hundred yards where he stopped and called for assistance. Another bullet hit a home.
