Typhoon-Haiyan-Where-To-Donate

The Fil-Am Organization of St Anthony will be collecting items to be sent to the Philippines to help with the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan.  Many have come to the aid with donations of clothing.

Father Ken Sales has a personal connection in the Philippines that has requested the following:  Towels, blankets, Shoes/Slippers, Canned Foods and Monetary donations.

“Being a Fil-Am priest in the US, I truly believe that I am a voice to my fellow countrymen and women in the Philippines.  After hearing and seeing the media coverage and social network features, I was moved with compassion and charity to respond humbly in small ways,” said Sales via email.

When describing what life has been like since the typhoon its been “survival mode”.

“At this point, life is on a survival mode,” said Sales. “ I am in close contact with a priest friend Fr. Jun Limbaga from Dumaguete, a nearby city.  He and his parishioners are actively involved with the social action centers handled by their diocese.”

The modular at St Anthony located at 971 O’Hara Ave in Oakley will serve as a drop off location on Saturday November 23rd from 11am – 6:30p and Sunday from 9am – 2:30pm.
