Oakley: 7 Injured in Vehicle Crash on Laurel Road

At 7:53 pm Friday, Oakley Police and East Contra Costa Fire Protection District responded to a vehicle crash at Laurel Road and O’Hara Ave. in the City of Oakley.

Engine 53 arrived on scene reporting multiple vehicles involved with major damage and four patients injured.  A total of 4 AMR units were requested to the scene.

By 8:00 pm, it was reported a total of 7 people were being evaluated according to firefighters with one person sustaining possible major injuries.

Firefighters confirmed all 7 patients were transported

Four “patients” injured? Were they heading for an appointment with their doctors? How did the first responders know these were patients?
