Oakley: 48-Year-Old Transported by Medical Helicopter After Fall

At 2:34 pm Sunday, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District responded to a report of a fall victim on Mariner Road in Oakley which required a medical helicopter transport.

Engine 94 arrived on scene where they found a 48-year-old male laying on the second floor of a town house and immediately provided care with full c-spine precautions. He was then transported via AMR to a helispot where he was then flown to John Muir Medical Hospital in walnut Creek.

According to the ECCFPD, the patient had an altered level of consciousness and suffered possible head and neck trauma. The cause of the fall is unknown.
