The Antioch Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred Monday morning in the City of Antioch.
According to preliminary information, a male was gunned down in the 4600 block of Ridgeline Drive at 5:38 am Monday. The victim was wounded several times in the incident.
According to several witnesses, approximately 10-to-15 shots were heard.
This is the second known shooting in April and police still have not released information on a shooting that occurred on April 1 where a male showed up to the hospital with a gunshot wound.
The Monday shooting in Antioch continues a series of shootings across the Bay Area after a Freeway Shooting wounded 2 people Sunday in Oakland, Oakland Police are investigating 5 shootings in 7-hour span, and San Jose Police are investigating two fatal shootings Saturday. Two men were also killed in a Sacramento shooting while Stockton Police also say two wounded in weekend shootings. Meanwhile, 2 were killed and 5 injured in Los Angeles County in a shooting Sunday.

Funny that the criminals can carry a gun shot anyone they please and sometimes get away with it. But the average citizen can’t carry to protect themselves from these thugs and if we do get caught we pay the price becuase we want to feel somewhat safe and protect our shelves and our families when out just trying to enjoy ourselves. It’s ridiculous and as we ALL decide to leave this Messed up State for States that allow Concelled Carry guess who’s left here to keep shooting people that can’t legally arm themselves.
