The Antioch Police Department are investigating a shooting that occurred Tuesday night that injured a male.
The shooting occurred at approximently 4:45 pm on Madill Court in the City of Antioch. A male was transported to a local hospital for injuries. The male was alert and conscious as he was treated by Contra Costa County Fire and AMR on scene.
According to preliminary information, this shooting appears to be domestic in nature according to police on scene. The male had pointed a firearm at a female during an argument before pointing the gun at himself and shooting himself.
Police did not disclose where the male shot himself or if the shooting was intentional or accidental in nature.
