On Sunday, April 30 at about 10:10 PM, Contra Costa Deputy Sheriffs were dispatched to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon at the 7000 block of Holland Tract Road in Knightsen.
The victim, a 33-year-old man, had several lacerations. He was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. It appears the victim and suspect know each other and allegedly had an argument earlier in the day.
On the morning of Monday, May 1, 2017, a Delta Station Deputy Sheriff arrested the suspect in Oakley. He is identified as 47-year-old Bryan Thomas. He was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on one count of assault with a deadly weapon. He has since bailed out.
