This morning, Dale Manning, president of Twin Rivers Insurance Agency of Antioch, visited the Veterans of Oakley to present them with a donation.
Manning, explained that last year, he donated $3 for every new home and auto insurance policy from July through December. In total, he raised $200 for the veterans organization. Manning says that in 2016, he will have the same program beginning in July and hopes to raise even more funds for the veterans.
“We are here to help and do the right thing,” said Manning. “I really appreciate what all the veterans have done.”
Smitty Smith, President of the Veterans of Oakley, was grateful for the donation which will go to help pay for the food for the veterans weekly dinners. The donation will help fund two dinners and allow them to continue to meet while continunig to build up their newly formed non-profit.
The Veterans of Oakley meet every Tuesday at Providence Bar and Eatery located at 2085 Main Street, in Oakley.
