Cites Monica’s business experience and community advocacy

ANTIOCH, CA – Antioch City Councilmember and workforce specialist Monica Wilson announced today she has earned the endorsement of Assemblymember Jim Frazier (AD-11) for her supervisorial campaign.

“In my time working with Monica Wilson, I have seen how she always prioritizes our community’s best interests.” said Assemblymember Jim Frazier. “Whether it is making sure our families stay safe or bringing financial stability to our government, Monica is known for implementing real and lasting change. Antioch is better for her time on council, and the Board of Supervisors will greatly benefit from her experience. Monica Wilson is the clear choice for this position.”

Jim Frazier AD11Jim Frazier was elected to the California State Assembly to represent the 11th Assembly District in November 2012, where he now serves as Chairman of the Transportation Committee and sits on the Veteran Affairs Committee. A local small business owner, Frazier got involved in the community after a traumatizing car accident.

Jim worked tirelessly for transportation infrastructure improvements to fix the road that has claimed so many lives. This work inspired him to continue serving the public, including serving as Mayor of Oakley.

“I am honored to earn the support from Jim.” said Monica Wilson. “He and I believe in making our community a place that offers better opportunities to residents. I know Jim cares about being accessible to his constituents in order to hear their concerns, and this is a value that we share.”

Assembly District 11 overlaps East Contra Costa County’s Supervisorial District 3 with Antioch, Oakley, Brentwood, and Discovery Bay. In November 2014, Assemblymember Jim Frazier was reelected with 59.7% of the vote. Assemblymember Frazier is the latest in a string of strong endorsements for Monica Wilson, who has recently added the California Nurses Association, SEIU 1021, State Controller Betty Yee, and Board of Equalization Fiona Ma to her growing list of impressive endorsers.

Screw you Jim Frazier, you are full of it. Monica has not done ONE THING that will be known for implementing real and lasting change. Antioch is not better during her time on the council, Antioch has gotten worse!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been in Antioch for many years now and this is one of the worst councils we have ever had! Frazier is so out of touch and his comments prove this.

If Frazier endorsed Wilson, she lost my vote and any support going forward.

Well this endorsement deals her fate.

The comment by Frazier is commical. Monica Wilson has no accomplishment at all under her belt. It’s all been Mayor Harper or Antioch Staff. Monica is a “yes” person and does as she is told. She is the weakest elected in the field yet I am struggling to understand why Frazier would support her? Does he need a “yes” vote for him on the County Board of Supervisors? His comment is out of touch and shows he is not paying attention to Antioch politics. Frazier and Wilson have both lost my vote.

Monica is in Frazier’s pocket. He wants someone he can control and own – Monica’s his “pigeon”..

That is a good point Voter. Jim hand picked Monica to run and is helping fund her campaign. She is a puppet and Jim is controlling her.

Birds of a feather flock together. Years ago I expected so much from Monica but a failure is all we got.

Dave Mar 29, 2016 - 1:06 pm

They both suck. Neither should be voted for.

How stupid does Frazier and Wilson think we are? If I was Monica I would pull out of the race and distance myself as far away from Frazier as possible. It’s only a matter of time before JF turns on Monica. His list of friendlys is getting smaller by the day. Word travels fast Jimbo.
