Instagram to Begin Hiding “Likes” in US Next Week

Daily Question: Should Instagram Hide “Likes” on its platform?

Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri announced Friday that Instagram will begin testing the idea of hiding “likes” from public view on a small portion of people in the United States beginning next week.

The move comes as the platforms aims to have its users engage in more conversation, not competition over number of “likes”.

This comes after they have been testing this in other countries like Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Ireland, Italy, and Brazil over the past year.
