On Sunday, a farmer’s market returns to downtown Oakley in the Civic Center Plaza beginning Sunday, September 1 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
The marker will feature both organic and conventional veggies from Esquivel Farms and Delfa’s Garden, fruits from Diaz Farms and Delfa’s Garden, strawberries from Bay Fresh Producer, fresh and smoked fish from FreshWay Fish, local honey from MarElla Honey Bees, cut flowers from Sunrise Nursery, Kettle corn from Gold Rush Kettle Korn, hummus from Hummus Heaven, tea from The Orchid Tea Room, live music and much more.
The City of Oakley attempted to host a farmers market last year, but due to lack of demand, the event was cancelled. The last attempt at a farmers market ran from June-August of 2018.
