Black Bear Diner Receives “Clean Business” Award from Ironhouse Sanitary District

by ECT

Brenda and Jimmy D’Amico, owners of Black Bear Diner, were awarded the Ironhouse Sanitary Distrcits first “Clean Business Award earlier this week.

The award program started this year to honor those businesses in the Oakley and Bethel Island communities for their efforts to help keep Fats, Oils and Grease (FOG) out of the sewer system for a cleaner environment.

The Ironhouse Sanitary District said they were  honored to give this first award to Black Bear Diner to show our appreciation for all the work the franchise owners of the restaurant did to correct a building construction flaw that was causing problems with grease escaping in the system.  It was a challenge to fix the problems and ISD staff wanted to show their appreciation for all the work done
