At 8:21 am Sunday, Oakley Police and East Contra Costa Fire Protection District responded to a three vehicle accident on Gamay Drive off of Empire Ave.
The incident resulted in minor injuries and heavy damage to one vehicle and dents to two trucks. Airbags also deployed in the smaller vehicle. Engine 93 was on scene as a precaution but were quickly released from the scene.
According to Oakley Police, one of the vehicles involved was on a “test drive” to be purchased.
This was the second accident of the morning for crews also responded to a vehicle accident on Cinnamon Ridge Dr. where a vehicle was traveling at a speed greater than the posted speed limit and crashed into a parked truck. That accident occurred at 7:37 am.
