On Sunday evening, the Oakley Police Department responded a second shooting which occurred just a few miles away from a homicide on Norcross Lane earlier in the day. The second shooting occurred on the corner of Walnut Meadows and Vintage Parkway.
Although information has not yet been released from the Oakley Police Department, here is what we have gathered so far.
Sunday evening between 5:00 pm and 5:30 pm, a drive by shooting occurred in which multiple shots fired at a red vehicle—estimated 10-20 shots. It’s unclear at this time if anyone was injured or taken away via ambulance.
Police blocked off the corner of Walnut Meadows at Vintage Parkway for hours as residents were not allowed to come in or out as law enforcement worked the scene. A few hours later, they allowed access in and out by foot only.
It is unknown if the two shootings Sunday were related.
We will update this story as soon as the Oakley Police Department releases more information.
