The City of Oakley welcomed two new parks to the City on Monday by hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony for Lakeside Park and Leeward Park.
The parks are located off E. Cypress Road on E. Summer Lake and Sonnett Ct with a backdrop of a lake and Mt. Diablo. Mayor Randy Pope provided a few welcoming words to guests before the ribbon cutting occurred while representatives from Assemblyman Jim Frazier’s office and Congressman Jerry McNerney’s office were on hand to provide certificates.
Outreach of the ribbon cutting was done through Oakley Outreach, Nextdoor, and distributing flyers to 200 homes within the subdivision.
