Oakley: Three Injured in Balcony Collapse

At 8:23 pm Tuesday, East Contra Costa Fire Protection District firefighters responded to a report of a balcony collapse in the 4000 block of Mellowood Drive in Oakley.

The call originally came in as a balcony collapse with 1-subject trapped and multiple people injured.

Upon arrival, crews stated there was no one trapped and three people were injured. They cancelled the medical helicopter.

The balcony was listed at about 3-to-5 feet high and collapsed while residents of the home were barbecuing. No further information was provided.
