Congressman DeSaulnier’s Statement on President Trump’s Reckless Budget Proposal

by ECT

Washington, DC – Congressman Mark DeSaulnier (CA-11) issued the following statement in response to President Trump’s reckless 2018 Proposed Budget.

President Trump’s budget would make draconian cuts to investments in lifesaving medical research, environmental protections, and workforce training; and proposes slashing $1 trillion from critical programs that provide health care, student loan protections, and nutrition assistance to millions of low-income Americans. By valuing massive tax cuts for corporations and the wealthy and moving an additional $52 billion to defense spending, the priorities outlined in this budget demonstrate just how out of touch the President is with the American people. The Trump budget is already drawing criticism from many of my Republican colleagues, and I urge them to reject this reckless proposal and work with Democrats to craft a responsible plan that strengthens America at home and abroad,” said Congressman DeSaulnier.

Desaulnier is a complete idiot. Thankful he didn’t suggest a 20 trillion dollar titanium coin to pay off our debt. That’s about how smart he is. What’s wrong Mark, afraid of losing the welfare abusers vote? What a typical career politician who cares only about himself and not Americas future generations. Vote out this scumbag.

Here we go let’s hear about how “taxpayers” don’t wanna pay for this and that but like sheep bow down while the corporations run our country. They would rather take the easy route and blame their fellow man, but not bat an eye to the ones at the top getting tax breaks, bonuses, and lifetime vacations. It’s always the ones with the Protestant work ethic who treat the ones at the top like god. Take a look at the real enemy folks, and it’s not the minority on EBT buying hot cheetos, it’s the one stealing your pension, destroying the earth, all for a profit. Trump/Clinton just heads of the same monster.

“I want my taxpayer dollars to pay for more senseless wars, tax breaks for the rich, and bonuses for millionaires. Trump knows what it’s like to be an average guy from Brentwood even though he inherited millions and is from Manhattan”

Baby boomers like to talk crap about people not working and getting stuff for free until they realize their moms never worked and received free medical care until their last days…. sigh

Those crappy moms who never worked…sigh. So sorry you feel that way about moms who raised their kids.

You missed the point completely madam. I was being sarcastic. Trumpsters hate on anyone who doesn’t work and may need gobermentment assistnce including sick folks, elderly, homemakers, mentally ill, etc.

Mark: Check out the ‘back page’ of the Trump’s Veterans Administration disability payment cuts for older service connected disabled Veterans. Reductions proposed to over 227,000 deserving Veterans to offset the fact that they receive a higher disability rating level and compensation because their injuries and inflictions make them ‘unemployable,’ and they collect earned Social Security retirement dollars. The Washington henchmen think this is double dipping the American taxpayer and total VA authorized disability dollars should be reduced as an offset!?! Really, you have to work to earn SS Pension; you have to be injured in the military to receive VA Compensation. In my mind, one does not relate to the other. I am a 100% service connected disabled Vietnam Veteran; also, was able to work, even with these injuries for many years, thus I have earned my SS Benefits. At a later point in life, I was not able to maintain continuous employment due to my afflictions; the older I became, the harder it was to stay employed for a list of Physician verified and VA approved reasons. Now you want to take away some of my total compensation @ 70 years old because I make too much off of taxpayers dollars with these two programs?? For once, I hope my Washington Representative can do something about this injustice!!! I am not alone in this fight!!
