At 11:40 am Sunday, East Contra Costa firefighters responded to a multi-vehicle crash that left at least 3-people injured.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Live Oak Road and Oakley Road after a vehicle traveling in the westbound direction ran the stop sign striking a vehicle already in the intersection. After the collision, a third vehicle was struck.
According to Oakley Police, the driver was being detained for suspected DUI and failure to stop at a stop sign. At least two people were being treated for possible back injuries and c-spine precautions were taken. The driver suffered minor injuries.
Three AMR ambulances were requested to the scene along with Engine 93.
As of noon, the intersection was still blocked. No further information was provided on scene.
