At 1:04 pm Saturday, firefighters from East Contra Costa Fire Protection District and Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a commercial structure fire at Live Oak Storage in Oakley.
The fire, which was reportedly started over an argument where a gas can was knocked over and a subject went to go pick it up with a cigarette in his mouth and caught the unit on fire. While the unit was completely destroyed, firefighters did prevent the fire from spreading to neighboring units.
Crews were on scene for roughly an hour.
