The Contra Costa County Sheriffs Office stated late Sunday morning that there appears to be no indication of foul play in a death of a man in front of the Oakley Fire Station. Instead, they believed it was related to a pre-existing medical condition.
According to sources, it’s believed a dialysis picc-line fell out of the man causing him to bleed out and was the cause of the blood inside the vehicle.
Originally, the City of Oakley said in a statement that they believed the man suffered signs of a “traumatic injury” on their Facebook page.
At 7:30 am Sunday, Oakley Police officers responded to a report of a vehicle that had come to a stop in the driveway of East Contra Costa Fire Protection District Station 93 with a deceased victim inside.
Firefighters who were dispatched to a call on Bethel Island at 7:26 am were leaving the station when they first located the vehicle blocking the driveway.
Police shut down a portion of O’Hara Avenue while they investigate the death. The road has since been re-opened.

That is a tragedy. After reading all the earlier negative comments on this poor soul.
Pay attention Antioch, Oakley updates their residents quickly. Antioch waits as long as 10 days.
