Today: Oakley Police Activity at Freedom High School is Training Exercise

The Oakley Police Department will be at Freedom High School on Thursday holding an Active Shooting Training. There is no threat to the public.

According to police, the training will begin at 8:00 am and end at 5:00 pm.

“The officers will be driving their cars to the scene and then deploying. The fire truck and ambulances will also roll down the street to get to the school,” said Chief Eric Christensen.

Police also said neighboring law enforcement agencies are also participating, so no need to be alarmed if you see outside agencies in Oakley.  AMR and the Fire Department will also be participating.
