You, Me, We Oakley! is partnering with the City of Oakley on hosting a Cultural Workshop on “El Día de los Muertos” (Day of the Dead) that will be taking place on Saturday, November 2nd from 1pm-3pm at City Hall. The Workshop includes the many opportunities for youth and adults of all ages to submerse themselves in customs or activities associated with that holiday. There will be an opportunity to participate in traditional face painting, decorating your own sugar skull and other themed crafts.

The purpose of the event is to give attendees the opportunity to learn more about this cultural holiday and enjoy the activities associated to this day. Organizers of the event encourage members of the public to bring in a photo of their loved ones that have passed away in order to participate in the community ofrenda (the offering made to honor loved ones that have passed away).
