Pregnant Female Airlifted to Hospital After Motorcycle Crash Sunday in Oakley

On Sunday, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District responded to a report of vehicle versus pedestrian crash in the 2800 block of Oakley Road in the City of Oakley. It was reported that two people were “down” in the roadway and were not moving.

Upon arrival, firefighters determined this was actually a vehicle versus motorcycle crash.  A medical helicopter was requested for a female who was pregnant with the landing spot to be Orchard Park School.

On Monday, Steve Aubert, Spokesperson for the ECCFPD said a vehicle made an unexpected turn on Oakley Road in front of the westbound motorcycle which had two passengers. The driver of the vehicle was not injured, however, the driver of the motorcycle was injured and transported via ground ambulance to a local hospital. A pregnant female was also injured and was transported via medical helicopter to a local hospital. Injuries were not provided.

The Oakley Police Department is investigating the crash.
